Weekly marketing outlook for you – week 4

Hi Andrea and John,

Please find the outlook for the next two weeks below. For future reference and in order to boost usage of our amazing internal resources, this piece of content is also published on the Penguin Carrier.

A) Top Marketing success of the past two weeks:

  • Last week, the Marketing strategy team organised the Zurich Marketing strategy days with the participation of the CEO, COO, senior KAMs, the Business Line Directors and the Practice Leads. The objective was to discuss the Marketing strategy, to gather inputs, to reflect on the success of past Marketing activities, and to define an implementation plan for 2019 that the business lines and the KAMs agree to. As part of the plan, we agreed to introduce “umbrella communication topics”, for each quarter of the year. For Q1, the focus is on “energy”, for Q2 on “forests and land use”, for Q3 on “water”, and for Q4 on “plastics or biodiversity”. These topics will inform South Pole’s Marketing activities throughout the year. We will feature related content (e.g., products/servic es, projects, blog articles, etc.) prominently on our website, the snapshot, social media, as well as the events we host. For the latter, we decided to fully focus on the “Climate Leaders” platform as the way to brand our own events. Further outcomes will soon be shared with involved parties.

B) Webinar (who is involved?):

  • 29/1: Climate Action Digest 2019 (RHE, AWA)

C) Campaigns (about what?):

  • 21/1: MAILOUT: Climate Leaders Forum Stockholm reminder (RBE, JEL)

  • 24/1: MAILOUT: Nordic council digest reminder (RBE, MST)

D) Events (who is going?):

  • 23/1: Climate Leaders Forum Stockholm Launch (JOL, JEL, TSC)

  • 31/1: South Pole Climate Brunch at Zurich office (SRO, BGI)

E) Client involvement (which ones?):

  • Kick-off presentation for FIFA (SSR)

  • Background study for International Flavors & Fragrance (BGI)

F) Market Research:

Total: 515 companies are taking SBT action and 164 companies have approved SBT

  • Website download: New update next week

  • Potential clients who opened our monthly newsletter “snapshot” a lot: next update in next week

As always, these dates are pretty much confirmed, yet due to some unforeseen circumstances, last minute changes might happen. Any comments, please let me know. Thanks.

Best regards,

Tom
