South Pole Social Media etiquette reminder: Drop the ‘Group’
Dearest South Pole penguins,
It has come to my attention that some of you are not up-to-date with the latest trends* across our iceberg. And no, I’m not talking about the penguin tuxedo.
This may come as a shock to you, but many of you are still linking to our old social media profiles in your personal bios. So, unless you’re working for an exotic purveyor of South African barcode labels on the side –
Please check and update the links on your social media profiles to our most current South Pole corporate social media accounts, which are as follows:
– Twitter: @southpoleglobal (twitter.com/southpoleglobal)
– Facebook: South Pole (facebook.com/southpoleglobal)
– LinkedIn: South Pole (linkedin.com/company/123103/)
While you’re at it, please also ensure that your LinkedIn job descriptions are also up-to-date, based on our most current South Pole Company Boiler Plate.
For any penguin who might be wondering what the iceberg is going on – here’s a refresher of the situation at hand:
In January 2018, a highly successful, global sustainability solutions company – at the time, known the world over as ‘South Pole Group’ or ‘SPG’ – rebranded to the much simpler, sleeker, sexier…

A few changes went along with this. Our beloved logo dropped the ‘Group’ (see above), the acronym ‘SPG’ was abolished without replacement (let’s face it, we have too many acronyms in our lives already), and… our South Pole corporate social media accounts changed, to align with our new brand identity (as above)!
TL;DR: Be social savvy and up with the latest South Pole trends*, and drop the ‘Group’ from your ‘South Pole’ – especially on your social media profile bios.
Yours sincerely,
Gabby
