Marketing and Communications Update April 2017
It is becoming a tradition already: once a year, the whole Marketing team gathers for one week of co-working. Just as last year, we chose our Bangkok office, where we were royally hosted by our great local penguins there. Our time together was characterised by a series of workshops on defining our mission, purpose and function as a Marketing team, honing our overall and our digital strategy, as well as finding new, more efficient ways of working together. We also defined an overall RACI diagram as our “go back to” reference document for working together as we continue to cooperate whilst spread out across the globe. Over the next few months, we are happy to share some of the strategic outcomes of the workshop with you, starting with how we understand ourselves, helping you and working together with you, outlined below:

Campaigns update
We have the following campaigns and webinar in the pipeline:
- Insetting in dairy supply chains
- Reporting tool in line Article 173 of the French Energy Transition Law (in collaboration with YourSRI)
- Carbon credits for Colombian companies
Communications update
- Our latest corporate announcements focused on our partnership with Alpha Centauri and our role as founding partner of the new Climate-KIC Australia. The world is also aware of our work on climate-smart cities: Telefonica NEXT and Teralytics joined us in pioneering a smart transport pollution monitoring system. Supported by the Low Carbon City Lab (LoCaL), this new methodology will be further developed in a follow-up project.
Lily, our Junior Comms Specialist, will start taking over our newsletters as new ‘Editor in Chief’. Feel free to get in touch with her for any questions or feedback you might have on either the Penguin Carrier or the Snapshot! During the month ahead our comms team will also be busy with supporting our marketing campaigns with fresh content, upping South Pole Group’s social media reach with new tools, and helping to define the next steps in our project marketing and communications. Stay tuned!
