MASCO Update April 2017

We are glad to announce two new members of the MASCO: Franziska Sinner and Marco Magini joined the body recently, both of them in their function as Product Director. This reflects the increased focus we place on sharpening our products and solutions. At the same time, a new and simplified structure is taking shape. Martin Christen and Marco Hirsbrunner – with assistance of Florian Heeb, who unfortunately will leave us to commence his PhD – have settled well in their new roles as Co-COOs. As one of their first jobs, they created a new so-called RACI matrix (where RACI stands for “is Responsible”, “is Accountable”, “is to be Consulted”, and “is to be Informed”). Using this matrix, we will now be much more efficient in taking day-to-day operative decisions in the company. As many of you may know, South Pole Group will change its budget cycle. Our budget year will start in July and end in June. Therefore, members of the MASCO in their capacity as unit directors are busy establishing the 2017 / 2018 budget.
